Hopeful #1: After reading Flash: Rebirth #5, if there's any justice in that world, I'm hoping Kid Flash (Bart Allen) gets a taste of his own medicine and gets Iris West ("Uh, the NEW Impulse") as his new sidekick.Hopeful #2: When Bruce Wayne inevitably makes his return as Batman, Dick Grayson will continue on his role as Batman, taking on adventures that require more leaping across giant typewriters in abandoned warehouses. Seriously, why can't Batman be a legacy character ala' The Flash, Green Lantern, Wildcat where two generations of hero carry the name, simultaneously.
Hopeful #3: Kyle Rayner becomes recognized as the greatest Green Lantern of all time.
Hopeful #4: Since Black Canary isn't being used in the Justice League anymore and Oracle and Huntress are fairly free it's time for a Birds of Prey reunion.
Hopeful #5: Hawkman returns in an all-new series titled, HAWKMAN, where the back-up feature is The Atom.
Hopeful #6: With Nemesis, King Faraday, KOBRA, Checkmate, S.H.A.D.E., Cameron Chase, The D.E.O. & Peacemaker all running around out there, it's high time for a comic focusing on DC's vast espionage portfolio.

#2 - I think two Batmans is a difficult idea for people to accept, but also a great one as Batman really needs to be in two places at once. And when both Dick and Bruce need to be in the same place at once (for a big event or whatever) Dick can don the ol' Nightwing garb.
#6 - Couldn't agree more. DC has Greg Rucka, Eric Trautmann, Ivan Brandon, John Ostrander amongst others each with solid espionage works in their bag. Add the Global Peace Agency (OMAC) to your list and there's some real tasty meat to put on the grill. Unfortunately the Outsiders just aren't cutting it.
Everyone knows the greatest Green Lantern is a toss-up between G'nort and Ch'p.
Kyle had his shot at number one; his sales bottomed out, and he was replaced. And now that he's deader than hell and he ain't never coming back, we can finally compose his epitaph: "He was born out of bad sales, and he died of bad sales."
... Nahh, that's not actually what I think: Kyle's a great character and I figure he's got a great future ahead of him. But good heavens, all this "either DC admits Kyle is the bestest Green Lantern ever or else I'll pout" business is a bit much. I'd say Kyle is better written today than he was under even Marz, and making him an honor guard in the GLC is hardly kicking him to the curb. And Kyle even gets more face time than Hal does in their respective comics these days.
