Silver Linings: Strength - UPDATED

He can change the course of mighty rivers with his bare hands.

Pretty impressive. Once I saw him turn a lump of coal into a flawless diamond by squeezing it in the palms of his hand.

That is superstrength and all the argument needed to make Superman the strongest person in The DC Comics Universe.

To back it up, at the 3:45 mark, here's the logic I'd have used at seven years old...

I never noticed how rape-y Superman's utterance of, "Don't fight me, Mother Earth," truly sounded until just now...

Moving on...

So? Who's The Second Strongest Person In The DC Universe?

Vote early, vote often!

AND THE WINNER WITH 26% OF THE VOTE IS....

SHAZAM!

What, no Supergirl? Har har har.

Given that the modern superman doesn't move the earth so much anymore (or does he? I haven't been paying that close attention), it's hard to say. None of the other characters ever seemed to exhibit earth moving powers.

Superman has taken on Lobo, Darkseid, Captain Marvel, Wonder Woman, Bizarro, Ultraman and Mogul each in knock-down brawls, and of them I think Lobo, Darkseid and Captain Marvel put up the biggest fight. Captain Marvel is the "worlds mightiest mortal", but I'm not sure that Darkseid is mortal, so I gave it to him.

Ultraman IS Superman, but evil, so I guess him.

I love how Green Lantern and Superman are so nonchalant about their assignments. And DC should give Hawkman an orbiting spaceship in the comics. Cause if a spaceship filled with a tons of axes and maces doesn't sum up Hawkman in one clear cut image that I don't know what does.
