I gotta say, I REALLY loved Secret Avengers 1. Easily one of the funnest super hero books I've read in awhile. I hope they can keep up the energy. Devon captured everything about it that I liked-weird but sensible mix of characters, old-school-cool bad guy (Roxxon & serpent crown but with a spin)..with beautiful art by Deodato and some cool story twists.
Why can't Justice League or one of the other DC team books be more like this?
While I'm not so impressed with Bendis' Avengers, you can tell Brubaker is just out there having fun, telling the stories his inner teen would like to read.
Over at Joblo's "Comics Reviewed," Devon and Graig review comics. Hope you survive the experience...
