So... did you read Blackest Night #8?

No?

Well, I don't wanna spoil anything for you but something happened.

Something big.

Major characters returned from the dead.

A lot but some simply... didn't.

Amongst the still-dead are some really major characters. Among them are:

BLUE BEETLE (TED KORD)

JONATHAN (PA) KENT

THE QUESTION (VIC SAGE)

Meh. I'm sure they'll catch them on the next time around. Although I am curious as to how they chose who came back and who didn't.

According to Geoff Johns, those that return, do so for a reason. They all get second chances, but not all of them work out. That's all we know.

I was surprised at some of them (did we need the Anti-Monitor and Max Lord back?!), but the non-returnees are less shocking. Most have replacements, their stories are played out, or are better dead (Ralph and Sue have untapped potential as ghost detectives).

As for the New Gods, are they, in fact, dead? I guess I got out of Final Crisis not really knowing anymore.

I don't think Professor Stein is dead. And the New Gods are over chilling with Kamandi on Earth-51.
